Oakdale, NY-
With a squad of many new faces along with some returning talent, the Women's Rowing team would once again have another successful season both in the fall and spring, setting many new team and personal bests.

The Fall Season would show much improvement over the course of the semester, with Dowling taking a first place finish in the Varsity 4+ event at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta.  With this momentum, the Golden Lions would once again do well, this time at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta as they placed second in the Varsity 4+ event.

On the Connetquot River the Golden Lions would blow the competition away in their only home regatta of the year.  The Golden Lions would sweep all events they were entered in, earning them the overall points trophy at the Dowling Alumni Cup Regatta.  They would then finish out the Fall Season with a first place victory in the Varsity 4+ event and a second place finish in the Varsity 8+ race at the Grimaldi Cup Regatta.

In the sprint races of the spring, Dowling would continue to improve not just in overall boat strength, but also in individual times on the ergometer.  The Spring Season would be highlighted with third place finishes in the Varsity 8+ event at the Knecht Cup Regatta and NCAA East Regionals.

Monika Zdrojewska, stroke seat of the Varsity 8, would go on to earn CRCA All-American honors for the third straight year, making her one of those most accomplished rowers in Dowling history.  In addition, Alison Landau would earn CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second straight year due to her accomplishments in the classroom.

With some rowers ending their final season at Dowling, head coach Peter Lee is confident that the leadership and dedication of his team this year will carry over into the fall while encouraging new faces to continue the tradition of success both on and off the water.
