FERGUSON NAMED TFCU SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Brian Ferguson
Brian Ferguson (Ronkonkoma, NY) of the Baseball team has been named the Teacher's Federal Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Month for the month of January.

Ferguson, an honor student majoring in Elementary Education, helped lead the Golden Lions to their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division II World Series in 2009, starting in 40 games. On the season he finished with a .252 batting average, came in third on the team scoring 25 runs, and also led the team and finished 7th in all of Division II by reaching base via a hit by pitch 19 times.
