Mike Vail struggles to carry the abundance of clothes being donated.
Oakdale, NY- The Dowling Men's and Women's Lacrosse teams as well as the Softball team teamed up to help out Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Long Island by donating clothes this Tuesday.
This marks the 4th straight year the organization has benefitted from the efforts of Dowling student-athletes, with 52 bags of clothes being collected this year alone. The teams met up at the Curtin Center to gather the donated clothes, loading them up onto the waiting truck outside. All donations will directly impact less fortunate families on Long Island.
"With the many community service initiatives the department does throughout the year, this one holds a special place in our heart as it brings our specific teams together for a great cause." said assistant coach Mike Taylor. "The tradition continues to get stronger each year."
